At UCSB, I was tasked by Assistant Professor Bolin Liao to construct a custom covering to an SEM he had modified; this was done to ensure safe conditions while operating.

The initial design was a horizontal sliding door, which proved to be a poor design. After some iterative rounds, I settled on the rotating design you see here.
